What we do with your email address

This short notice covers the sign-up form on this page. Our full privacy policy returns when OwnTongue opens.

What we keep. The address you type and the date you typed it. That is the whole record — no name, no IP address, no profile, no tracking.

Why. To email you about OwnTongue, starting when we open. You can ask us to stop at any time — see below.

Who sees it. Nobody outside OwnTongue. We do not sell, rent, or share the list. It is stored in Microsoft Azure in the United States, who host it for us and do not use it.

Cookies. This page sets none, and there is no analytics or advertising code on it.

Bot check. The form runs Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from scripts. That check sends your IP address to Cloudflare, who process it for us as a sub-processor. It sets no tracking cookie.

Abuse controls. We count sign-up attempts per internet address for an hour at a time so a script cannot flood the list. Those counters hold no email addresses and expire on their own.

Getting off the list. Email support@owntongue.com and we will delete your address — no need to explain.
